Pronunciation: Zhāng Zhèngfēi [ʈʂə̂ŋ féi]

I find myself drawn to understanding human and machine minds. Both the understanding itself and the practices that follow please me. I do not yet know which matters more, and I hope to keep both possibilities open for myself and for those I love.

I am now building Donut AI as Chief Scientist to bring agentic trading to everyone. Trading will exist for as long as our society does, and AI will transform it. We therefore aim to provide agentic trading infrastructure for the public and for professionals. We are hiring.

Before Donut, I was an entrepreneur and a researcher at leading institutes. I have also coached competitive programming at the IOI selection level as a hobby for years. I earned my bachelor’s degree through Tsinghua University’s Tsien Class and was a Schwarzman Scholar.
